DISPLAYING THE RULER
 
Overview: <View Ruler command>
 
To display or hide the ruler using the mouse:
■ Click with the left mouse button on the
  ruler/ribbon icon (┴), in the upper right corner
  of the active window.
 
To display or hide the ruler using the keyboard:
■ Choose View Ruler (Alt,V,R) or press
  Ctrl+Shift+F10 to display and move the cursor
  to the ruler.
