Help uses the following typographic conventions:

     Example Description

README.DOC, Uppercase represents filenames and operating-
     COPY system commands.

ESC, F1, Uppercase also denotes names of keys on the
     CTRL+ENTER keyboard. A plus (+) indicates a combination of
keys. For example, SHIFT+F5 means holding down the
SHIFT key while pressing the F5 key. In PWB Help,
key names appear in mixed case.

<expression> Angle brackets indicate placeholders for additional
syntax or information you must supply, such as a
                     filename.

[argument] Items inside square brackets are optional.

     [ a │ b ] Brackets and vertical bars indicate a choice
between two or more optional items.

     { a │ b } Braces and vertical bars indicate a choice
between two or more required items.

'COUNT' Single right quotation marks denote user input or
program output within text or refer to a string
                     or word from an example.

Repeating Three dots (an ellipsis) following an item
elements... indicate that more items having the same form can
                     be entered.

     ∙ ∙ ∙ Three dots with a space between them indicate a
                     vertical ellipsis.

"hyperlinks" Double quotation marks enclose a new term the
first time it is defined. They are also used when
required by the syntax of a command.

kilobytes (K) An acronym or abbreviation is spelled out the
                     first time it appears.

«PWB function» In Help for the Programmer's WorkBench, PWB
replaces a function name in chevrons by a key
                     combination assigned to that function.
