The first set of eight bytes forms character 128; the second set forms character 129. Beginning with version 3.1, DOS provides the utility GRAFTABL to install a pattern table in memory and point the 1Fh vector to it. GRAFTABL forms characters matching those used in alphanumeric modes. -♦-
