Use Cut (or press Shift+Del) to remove selected text from the active window and put it on the Clipboard. You can then use Paste (Shift+Ins) to insert it into an active window. Tip: Select text by placing the cursor where the text should begin and pressing the Shift+DIRECTION keys. Remove selected text without copying it to the Clipboard by pressing DEL.
