Important Notice
The pages on this site contain documentation for very old MS-DOS software,
purely for historical purposes.
If you're looking for up-to-date documentation, particularly for programming,
you should not rely on the information found here, as it will be woefully
out of date.
Overview of CodeView Windows

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
CodeView can display up to 10 windows at one time:
■ One Help window
■ One Local window
■ One Watch window
■ One Register window
■ Two Source windows
■ Two Memory windows
■ One 8087 window
■ One Command window
Each window has a fixed position relative to other open windows.
However, you can size any window. When you resize a window,
CodeView automatically resizes the other open windows as needed.
Whenever the cursor is in a window, that window has the "input
focus." When a window has the input focus, you can perform actions
that affect that window (for example, adding watch expressions or
changing memory values).
To move the input focus to a window, either press F6 until the
cursor is in that window or click in that window with the mouse.
F6 moves the input focus from top to bottom and left to right;
SHIFT+F6 moves the input focus in the opposite direction.
