     <subprogram> : formal argument <name> : never used
 
     If a formal argument is never referenced, the compiler must assume
     a variable was meant for this argument. In medium model, if a
     function is passed to the formal argument, the wrong amount of
     storage may be allocated. This message is suppressed by any
     previous compiler error message (F2<xxx>).
