Help Formatting Flags

─────Formatting Flags───────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Formatting flags are used for two purposes:

        ■ To highlight text. Flags are provided for boldfaced,
underlined, and italic text. On a color monitor, these
attributes may appear as text of a different color, depending
on the user's hardware and software configuration.

        ■ To embed explicit links in text. Flags are provided to define
"hot spots" on the screen and to hide the context string you
          are linking to.

The coding of formatting flags depends on which source-file format
     you are using.
