This control character marks the beginning of a line that contains control codes being passed to the application displaying help. An alternative method of passing control codes is to use dot commands. See: ◄Specify Control Character (/A)► ◄Dot Commands► Within the help databases provided with Microsoft applications, a colon (:) is used as the control character. The following codes are supported in most applications: Control Code Action :ln Sizes the help window to <n> vertical lines. The line with this code should follow the last context definition for the topic. You can also use the .length dot command. :ntext Defines <text> as the title of the topic text. The application may display this title at the top or bottom of the help window. The line with this code should follow the last context definition for the topic. You can also use the .topic dot command. :zn "Freezes" <n> lines at the top of the topic. Frozen lines do not scroll. This code can be used to prevent a screen title or row of "buttons" from scrolling out of view. You can also use the .freeze dot command. -♦-
