/W Option

     Syntax:  /W[ARNFIXUP]
 
     The /W option issues a warning when LINK uses a displacement from
     the beginning of a group in determining a fixup value. This option
     is provided because early versions of the Windows linker (LINK4)
     performed fixups without this displacement.
 
     This option is for segmented executable files only.
