Search Paths
Determines where Word searches for documents
in your system. Word maintains this path from
session to session.
Author, Operator, Keywords
Specify one or more in each category that you
want to use to search through your files.
Text
Type specific text you want to search for in a
document.

Date Saved
Type the date the file you want to find was
saved. You can also use logical expressions to
specify a date range. For example:
>2/28/90&<4/1/90 tells Word to search for dates
after February 28, 1990 and before April 1,
1990 (all dates in March, 1990).
Date Created
Type the date the file you want to find was
created. You can also use logical expressions
to specify a date range (see Date Saved for
an example).

Match Case
Turn on this option to search for the exact
combination of uppercase and lowercase
characters typed in the Text box.
Selected Files Only
Turn on this option to apply search criteria
only to the files you marked in the Files box.
Directories
Select the directory you want to search.
