The pages on this site contain documentation for very old MS-DOS software, purely for historical purposes. If you're looking for up-to-date documentation, particularly for programming, you should not rely on the information found here, as it will be woefully out of date.
dAnnotatio
Annotation

A note or comment added to a document by a
reviewer or author. In Word, an annotation is a
special form of a footnote.

"Annotation mark" refers to the characters you
use, usually your initials, to identify your
annotations in a Word document. "Annotation text"
refers to the text of an annotation. Word stores
annotation text at the end of a document, but
prints the text and annotation mark at the bottom
of a page or at the end of a section, depending
on which location you specify with the Format
Section command. See also: Footnote.
