Important Notice
The pages on this site contain documentation for very old MS-DOS software, purely for historical purposes. If you're looking for up-to-date documentation, particularly for programming, you should not rely on the information found here, as it will be woefully out of date.
dDirectory
Directory

A list of the contents of a disk. Directories and
subdirectories work like a filing system for
storing and accessing categories of documents.
For example, you can create a WORD directory that
contains all the Word application files, and then
create subdirectories within that directory, such
as LETTERS and BILLING, that contain documents
you have created and saved. See your DOS manual
for more information on working with directories.
