Status bar
The line, normally second from the bottom of the
screen, where Word displays the following: the
page and division numbers, the line and column
numbers, the contents of the scrap, the F1=Help
button, the "SAVE" signal when memory is low, and
key status. (Note: If you turn off the message
bar with the View Preferences command, the status
bar becomes the bottom line on the screen.) See
