When you choose Save Custom Project Template from the Project
Templates cascaded menu on the Options menu, PWB writes the current
project template to your TOOLS.INI file. You can use this template
to create new projects with the same compiler and linker options as
     the current project.

If you create many projects that use the same initial memory model,
warning level, and other compiler and linker options, create a
custom project template to start a project with your preferred
     settings.
     See: Save Custom Project Template

A custom template saved in this way can also serve as the basis for
a project template that supports a new language or build tool. To
create a new type of template, you must learn how to use the Build
     switch.
