! (Literal Character Operator)
   Operator Summary  Summary

  Syntax:  !character
 
  Treats character in a macro argument as a literal character rather
  than as an operator or symbol. Used with special characters such as
  the semicolon or ampersand when the usual assembly language meaning of
  the character must be suppressed.
