Cut Command (2 of 2)
Shortcut key: SHIFT+DEL
Use the Cut command to delete the selected (highlighted)
text from the active window and copy it to the Clipboard.
Once a block of text is in the Clipboard, use the Paste
command, or press SHIFT+INS, to insert it into an active
window.
► Use the SHIFT+arrow keys to select text in the
active window.
To delete text from the active window without putting it
in the Clipboard, press the DEL key.
To use the Cut and Paste commands together:
1. Select text 2. Choose Cut 3. Move cursor to
with or press insert point;
SHIFT+ARROW KEY SHIFT+DEL choose Paste

TIP: After pasting, the cut text is still in the Clipboard.
It can be pasted at another location in the file too.
