Important Notice
The pages on this site contain documentation for very old MS-DOS software,
purely for historical purposes.
If you're looking for up-to-date documentation, particularly for programming,
you should not rely on the information found here, as it will be woefully
out of date.
Save Command
Use the Save command to copy the current file to disk.
Periodically save your work this way.
► The current file is the one displayed in the active
Source or Notepad window. The file's name is shown at
the top of the window.
If UNTITLED.C appears as the title of the View window, the
Save command will prompt you for a file name and format.
Otherwise, the Save command will overwrite the disk file
that has the name shown as the title.
TIP: Use Save As, rather than Save, to be prompted for a
new file name, thus preserving the existing version
of the file.
