Cut Command (2 of 2)
 
  Use the Cut command to delete the selected (highlighted)
  text from the active window and copy it to the
  Clipboard. The shortcut key is SHIFT+DEL. Use the
  SHIFT+ARROW keys or the mouse to select text in the
  active window.
 
  Once a block of text is in the Clipboard, you can use
  the Paste command, or press SHIFT+INS, to insert it into
  an active window.
 
  To delete highlighted text from the active window
  without putting it in the Clipboard, you should press
  the DEL key.
  To use the Cut and Paste commands together
 
  1. Select text     2. Choose Cut      3. Move cursor to
     with mouse or      or press           insert point;
     SHIFT+ARROW        SHIFT+DEL          choose Paste
