Important Notice
The pages on this site contain documentation for very old MS-DOS software,
purely for historical purposes.
If you're looking for up-to-date documentation, particularly for programming,
you should not rely on the information found here, as it will be woefully
out of date.

Usually, these conditions make the program pause with a message
enabling the user to Abort, Retry, Fail or Ignore the error. Setting
the L switch on suppresses the appearance of this message so that all
error handling can be controlled by the application.
On OS/2, this switch must be set using the COBSW environment
variable; setting it on the command line has no effect on OS/2.
