LIB Help (lib.hlp) (Topic list)
Important Notice
The pages on this site contain documentation for very old MS-DOS software, purely for historical purposes. If you're looking for up-to-date documentation, particularly for programming, you should not rely on the information found here, as it will be woefully out of date.
Running LIB
                                             Up Contents Index Back
─────LIB────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Run LIB by typing the following command:

          LIB

Supply input to LIB in three ways, separately or in combination:

        ■ Specify input on the command line
See: Using the LIB Command Line

        ■ Respond to prompts
          See: Using LIB Prompts

        ■ Provide input in a response file
See: Using a LIB Response File

LIB expects input in one or more fields, which must appear in
order but can be left blank (except for <oldlibrary>). A semicolon
(;) after any field ends the command; LIB assumes defaults for any
     remaining fields.
     See: <oldlibrary> Field
          <options> Field
          <commands> Field
          <listfile> Field
          <newlibrary> Field

LIB copies the old library and makes changes to the copy. You must
have enough disk space for both the original library and the copy.

Press CTRL+C or CTRL+BREAK at any time to return to the operating
system. Interrupting LIB leaves the original library intact.
