WINDOW SPLIT

Procedures: <Splitting a window>

Use the Window Split command to divide the active
window into two panes.

■ You can scroll each pane separately to view two
parts of one document or two views of the same
document. For example, you could display normal
view in one pane and outline view in the other.

■ You can turn the ruler on or off in either
  pane in a window.

■ You cannot split a window while the footnote
  pane is open.

■ Double-clicking the split icon (═) splits the
window into two equal panes. Double-clicking
  again closes the split.
