The pages on this site contain documentation for very old MS-DOS software,
purely for historical purposes.
If you're looking for up-to-date documentation, particularly for programming,
you should not rely on the information found here, as it will be woefully

FORMAT PARAGRAPH
Procedures: <Formatting paragraphs>
Use the Format Paragraph command to control
paragraph <indents>, <alignment>, and spacing
between lines and paragraphs.
■ Before formatting a paragraph, position the
cursor anywhere in the paragraph you want to
format, or select a group of paragraphs, or
select the entire document by pressing Ctrl+5
(on the numeric keypad) or Shift+F10. The
formatting will only be applied to the
paragraph(s) you select.
■ Word provides a style sheet, SIDEBY.STY,
that makes it easy for you to create
<side-by-side paragraphs>.
■ Paragraphs can be aligned right, left,
centered, and justified using speed formatting
keys.
