FORMAT RECORD STYLE
Procedures: <Recording styles>
Use the Format Record Style command to record
the selected formatting as a <style> or to
revise an existing style. You can then apply the
recorded style to other documents or parts of the
same document.
■ The quickest way to create a style is to apply
the formatting you want with the Format
commands and/or the <speed formatting keys>,
and then use the Format Record Style command or
the Style box on the ribbon to record the style.
■ The quickest way to edit a style is to make
formatting changes to text that has the style
applied to it, and then select the text and
record the style.
■ You can record styles using the Style box on
the <ribbon>.
■ You can also create or edit a style with the
Format Define Styles command. This requires
more advanced knowledge of style sheets and
formatting information, such as fonts and
positioning.
■ To work with styles effectively, familiarize
yourself with the terms <key code>, <remark>,
<style type>, and <style I.D.>.
