FILE SAVE
Procedures: <Saving a document>
Use the File Save command to save the <active>
document to a disk with the current name and
<file format>.
■ When you save a document for the first time,
Word prompts you, with the Save As dialog box,
to give your document a filename.
■ When you save a document, Word creates a
temporary copy in a backup file that is listed
with a .BAK extension.
■ Word saves documents with all formatting unless
you specify a special format.
■ To name or rename a document before you save
it, use the File Save As command.
■ When you close documents or exit Word, you are
reminded to save any modified documents.
