CHANGING A STYLE NAME
Overview: <Edit Rename Style command>
To change a style name:
1. Choose Format Define Styles (Alt,T,D) to
open the style sheet window.
2. Select the style you want to change.
3. Choose Edit Rename Style (Alt,E,N).
4. To assign a key code, or a new key code, type
the code in the Key Code box.
5. In the Style I.D. box, do one of the following:
■ Accept the available style I.D. that Word
suggests.
■ Select another available style I.D. Any
style I.D. in the list without parentheses
to the right of it is available.
6. Type a note in the Remark box (optional).
7. Choose OK.
8. When you have completed all changes to the
style sheet, choose File Save (Alt,F,S).
Note: If you have two styles with the same key
code or style I.D., Word prompts you to
assign a different key code or style I.D.
to the style you are changing.
