VIEW OUTLINE
Procedures: <Using outlines>
Use the View Outline command to write, view, and
organize your document using an outline as the
basic structure.
■ Outlines consist of <headings> and <body text>
which appears indented below these headings.
■ Subheadings are automatically indented 0.4". For
example, all level-2 headings are indented 0.4"
to the right of level-1 headings.
■ You can display various levels of an outline by
<expanding> or <collapsing> headings and body
text.
■ <Outline view> has two modes:
■ You type and edit headings using outline edit
mode.
■ You rearrange and organize outline headings
using <outline organize> mode.
■ To toggle between outline edit and outline
organize modes, press Shift+F5.
■ To see both text and outline views at the same
time, choose Window Split (Alt,W,T).
