Important Notice
The pages on this site contain documentation for very old MS-DOS software,
purely for historical purposes.
If you're looking for up-to-date documentation, particularly for programming,
you should not rely on the information found here, as it will be woefully
out of date.

MACRO RUN
Procedures: <Running a macro>
Use the Macro Run command to run a <macro>.
■ Before you can run a macro, the <glossary>
containing the macro must be open.
■ Back up your current document before running a
new or modified macro, so that you can recover
your work if the macro does not run properly.
■ Word provides a number of useful macros in the
MACRO.GLY file. For more information, see
the "Macros Supplied with Word" section in
Chapter 22, "Macros," in the Using Manual.
■ Macros run properly only if the function keys
and Ins and Del keys are configured as the
macro expects. If you alter the default key
assignments, you can insert the supplied
macros, set_function_keys5 or
set_function_keys55, at the beginning and/or
end of a macro to ensure the right function key
assignments.
■ Many keystrokes for Word 5.5 have changed from
Word 5.0. For any macro written for Word 5.0 to
run properly in Word 5.5, it must be converted
to reflect these changes. Use the macro
conversion utility, MACROCNV.EXE, to convert
Word 5.0 macros for use with Word 5.5.
■ To run a macro again, press F4.
