CREATING A STYLE USING FORMAT DEFINE STYLES
Overview: <Format Define Styles command>
To create a style using Format Define Styles:
1. Choose Format Define Styles (Alt,T,D) to open
the style sheet window.
2. Choose Insert New Style (Alt,I,N).
3. In the Key Code box, type a one- or
two-character code for the style.
4. In the Style Type box, select the type of
style you want to create.
5. In the Remark box, type a note to help
you remember the purpose of the style.
6. In the Style I.D box, type the name of the
style or select a style from the list.
7. Choose OK.
The dialog box closes and Word displays the
new style name in the style sheet window.
8. Use the Format menu commands to create the
formatting instructions you want.
Note: To close the style sheet window, place the
cursor in the style sheet window and press
Ctrl+F4, or click the close icon in the
upper-left corner of the window.
