CREATING AND FORMATTING A NEW SECTION
Overview: <Format Section command>
To create a new section:
1. Move the cursor to where you want to begin a
new section.
2. Choose Insert Break (Alt,I,B).
3. Turn on the Section option.
4. Under Type Of Section Break, indicate whether
you want the new section to begin on the next
page, same page (continuous), or next even- or
odd-numbered page.
5. Choose OK.
The <section> mark appears above the cursor.
To create and format a new section:
1. Move the cursor to where you want to begin a
new section.
2. Choose Format Section (Alt,T,S).
3. In the Columns, Place Footnotes, and Line
Numbers boxes, select the options you want for
the new section.
4. From the Section Start list, indicate where
you want the page break for the new section.
(Press F1 for descriptions of options.)
5. If you want to change the margins for the
section, choose Margins and set the options.
6. If you want to include page numbering in the
section, choose Page Numbers and set the
options.
7. Choose OK.
