<Index> <Back> <Exit> ───────────────────────────────────────────────── FORMAT SECTION Procedures: <Formatting a section> Use the Format Section command to control the page format in a document or a <section> of a document. ■ A document has one or more sections. Settings made with the Format Section command apply only to the section containing the cursor or to the sections you have selected. ■ To start a new section, use the <Insert Break> command. The section break appears as a double dotted line called the section mark. The section formatting affects all text above the section mark. ■ Section formatting is stored in the section mark; if you delete it, all formatting for the section is lost. You can restore a deleted section mark by immediately choosing the Edit Undo command. ■ To see what your formatting will look like when printed, choose the File Print Preview command. Choose the View Layout command to see formatting in <layout> mode. ■ You can change <default> section settings for each new document. For more information on changing default section formatting and revising automatic styles, see the Using Manual chapters listed below.
