DESIGNATING ENTRIES WITH TABLE CODES

Overview: <Insert Table of Contents command>

To designate table of contents entries with
table codes:
1. To see hidden text as you type it, turn on
Hidden Text in the View Preferences dialog
   box.
2. Move the cursor to the first letter of the
word or phrase you want to include in the
   table of contents.
3. Press Ctrl+H to format hidden text.
4. Type .c.
5. If the word or phrase you want to include in
the table of contents is not a paragraph by
itself, add a semicolon for the endmark after
the word or phrase. Format the semicolon as
   hidden text.
If the entry is a paragraph or is at the end
of a section, the paragraph or section endmark
functions as the table of contents endmark.
6. Press Ctrl+H to turn off hidden text character
   format.
