EDITING A MACRO
Overview: <Macro Edit command>
To edit a macro using the Macro Edit command:
1. Choose the File New command to open a new
window, or place the cursor where you want to
insert the macro text.
2. Choose Macro Edit (Alt,M,E).
3. In the Macro Name box, type the macro name or
select it from the Macros list.
4. Choose the Edit button.
Word inserts the macro text in the active
window.
5. Revise the macro text.
6. Select all of the macro text.
7. Choose Macro Edit (Alt,M,E).
8. In the Macro Name box, type the macro name or
select it from the Macros list.
9. If you want to assign or change a key code,
with the cursor in the Macro Keys box, press
Ctrl and the key or keys for the code. For
example, Ctrl+M,C.
10. Choose the Define button.
11. Choose OK to overwrite the previous version
if you have used the same name.
Note: You can also use the F3 key to edit a
macro. In a document window, type the name
of the macro, followed by a caret (^), and
then press F3.
