CREATING A HANGING INDENT
Overview: <Format Paragraph command>
To create a <hanging indent>:
Using speed formatting keys:
1. Select the paragraph(s) you want to indent,
or select the entire document by pressing
Ctrl+5 (on the numeric keypad) or Shift+F10.
2. Press Ctrl+T to create a hanging indent that
indents all lines after the first line of
the paragraph 0.5 inches.
Using the Format Paragraph command:
1. Select the paragraph(s) you want to indent,
or select the entire document by pressing
Ctrl+5 (on the numeric keypad) or Shift+F10.
2. Choose Format Paragraph (Ctrl,T,P).
3. Under Indents, type a positive number in the
From Left box. For example, 0.5.
4. Under Indents, type a negative number in the
First Line box. For example, -0.5.
5. Choose OK.
