SETTING AND ALIGNING TAB STOPS USING THE RULER
Overview: <View Ruler command>
To set and align tab stops:
Using the mouse:
1. Display the ruler by clicking the ruler/ribbon
icon.
2. Move the cursor to the paragraph you want to
set tab stops in or select a group of
paragraphs.
3. Click the left end of the ruler until you see
the letter (L,C,R,D, or |) which corresponds
with the alignment you want.
4. Click the point on the ruler where you want to
set the tab stop.
Using the keyboard:
1. Press Ctrl+Shift+F10 to activate and move the
cursor to the ruler.
2. Move the cursor to the tab location you want
using the Right Arrow and Left Arrow keys.
3. Press the key corresponding to the tab
alignment you want (L,C,R,D, or |).
4. Press Enter.
